Ginza Maison Hermès Window display
Making Waves is an installation designed for Ginza Maison Hermès Ginza, Tokyo. It tells about the different states and forms that water can take in a domesticated nature. From the rain to the pavement, up to a big wave, the water meets products and hereby reveals their function : protect, contain, isolate.
In the small window displays, the scenes develops this idea and underlines the use of water in manufacturing process. It questions also the virtual water (or water footprint) used in a production of goods. What amount of water do we use to make a jewel or a piece of leather ? Will this notion become a new way to give added value to our everyday objects?
